Log Scale Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to plot an odds ratio of infection (y-axis) and annual surgery volume (x-axis) using the scatter command. When I use a logarithmic scale, the y-axis becomes very congested. I've tried setting new ranges, etc to no avail. Would appreciate any help!

This usually happens when your smallest values are zero. Then their logarithm is not defined and the resulting graph is Stata's way of saying that you can't really do that.

Show us the results of summarize, detail on your y axis variable.
