Hi there, we are currently working on a master project and could really use your help. We are using the SOEP survey. The dataset ranges from 1992 to 2018 and our topic is to investigate the effect of the minimum wage introduction of 8.50 Euro in 2015 in Germany. Our research question is: What is the effect of the introduction of the minimum wage on the on the Employment Status of the restaurant industry (part of the variable e11107). To do this, we need to conduct a differences-in-differences analysis. As control group we have chosen the Insurance sector (aswell part of the variable e11107), since it was very little affected by the introduction of the minimum wage. Unfortunately, we can't come up with the right formula. Could you possibly give us some support in our approach? Thank you very much!
