  • how to include a table inside a chart in stata?

    Dear Colleagues,

I am trying to replicate some simple time series graphs, and I am facing the problem of not knowing how to include a table like the one marked in the image (which I think is very easy to incorporate pero desconozco como se hace).

At first I thought that I should only include 3 text boxes and format them (which would be very laborious if they were several graphs with different scales), the problem is that they are not the same size and I have spent hours thinking about what could be the solution but I can not find information on this subject.

A professor at the university made a thematic map and included a table in the same way. So I ask for your kind help to solve this problem.

    Greetings!!!!

Soy 98% seguro q no podes hacer esto, and I'm 100% sure q aunque lo fuera posible, it's likely much more effort than most people would be willing to invest to do this.

Thank you very much for your kind answer. I am thinking that the first graph is, indeed, made in STATA and from there it was made in LATEX. The second one is also made in STATA but the table is made in powerpoint.

This is good to know, because yesterday I spent all afternoon looking for this information and found nothing of the sort. I found some other things that are still useful but not this in particular.

Hopefully someone else has this same question, greetings!!!

My next question then is why do you wanna replicate these graphs? Are you required to, or is it just for the sake of replicating them?

Now that I look at it, there would be a way to do something like this....... you can add text to graphs, which can sometimes be informative. So if that would be an acceptable alternative, then I can give an example of how you'd do it, if you'd like.

My answer would be both, but mainly for the replication exercise. That has helped me to become familiar with the software, which is a marvel. I have seen here what can be done with it and it has blown my mind.

As I mentioned in the first post, my idea was to add text boxes with the text option and make it manual. But as you mentioned the effort is a lot for a simple table like the first chart. The result was half way, because of the fact that the texts are not aligned, one box is bigger than the others because of the length of the text, etc. It looks similar but not the same.

If you could explain me what you mentioned about the informative texts I would appreciate it very much.
