  • Zscore06 command

    Hello Dear Statalist Users,

Using zscore06 command, I have successfully calculated the height for age and weight for age Z scores of children aged 0-5. To do it, I have used Turkish DHS. However, I have a question. Even though zscore06 command is based on WHO 2006 standards, I have just thought that whether it's problematic because each country has its own average in height/wright. So, is it convenient to use zscore06 in DHS dataset?

    thank you in advance.

You're not new here, so you should know better to specify user written commands when you use them.

anyways, likely not. I'm not an epidemiogist or a doctor, but if it's based on WHO's standards, then this shouldn't be an issue since it's a global standard- you'd really run into issues if you used the specific standards of each county instead of a more globally accepted metric. But I would email the author if I were you. Seems like a specialized question
