  • Problematic DD with heterogenous treatment effects

    Hi everyone!

I wanted to ask how researchers usually proceed when a public policy with heterogenous treatment effects is being analyzed (DiD, staggered introduction) BUT there is no information on the years when the groups were initially treated (something key for applying methods like Callaway and Sant'Anna (2021)). Let me concrete a bit more, I'm studying the introduction an intervention across states and I just have information for 4 years, however, the states get the treatment BETWEEN these years. For instance, let's say that the intervention was firstly introduced in Louisiana and Massachusetts the year 2011, and in Florida and California in 2016, but I just have data for 2010, 2014 and 2018.

I'm kind of new using causal inference methods ;(

    Thanks!

No full outcome data=no analysis. You'll need, at the very least, complete outcome data.
