  • Normalised variable

    Hi everyone!

I am using test scores as dependent variable which is normalized between 0 and 1. I want to interpret the impact of family size on the test scores.
My family coefficient came out to .009. How do explain the effect of family size on test score of children?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The interpretation always comes from dE(Y|X)/dX = b = .009. One unit increase in your family size leads to .009 units increase in the dependent variable.

You can also standardise the independent variable, and then you can have beta weights interpretation.
