  • Categorical Principal Component Analysis Using Panel Data

    Hi,
I am using panel data, Since my most of the variables are either binary (0 & 1) or ordinal (1,2,& 3) in nature. I want to use categorical principal component analysis (CATPCA), instead of Principal component analysis . I have gone through the paper Nonlinear Principal Components Analysis: Introduction and Application by M. Linting et al (2007) and few more. They used SPSS or SAS software to perform the CATPCA. I did not get anything concrete in the context of STATA for performing the CATPCA analysis. Kindly help me to sort out the issue..

    Thanking You

The implication seems to be that this is not supported in Stata. I am curious, and it seems that Neeraj Kumar is still active here. Did any of the sources alluded to in #1 explain how to apply this to panel data?
