  • Do file display problem

I am using Stata 17 on Monterey on a 4K Retina iMac monitor. Recently the .do file editor started to look distracted. See the left edge of the do file editor in the enclosed screenshot. Is there any solution for this?

I encountered some problems in Sublime, a bulk of codes were regarded as comments after certain lines. I find official dofile editor is good enough after all, so I switch back to it. Did your problem occur in official dofile editor?

I could not understand what is meant by official do file editor. I use licensed Stata 17 and its do file editor.

Sorry, I use the word 'offical' to denote Stata's own do-file editor. There are many Stata users who prefer third-party do-file editor (Sublime Text, for example) to Stata's own do-file editor.

We haven't seen this behavior on our iMacs running Monterey. Please contact Stata technical support for further assistance.
