Installing a new package

I tried to install factortest, but I got the following error

The most common advice found by searching Statalist for next.trk is to rename the existing next.trk file and try again. It seems to solve the problem - I think it means that at some point on your system a software installation went amiss and created an updated version of the stata.trk file but failed before it could be renamed to become the new version.

By renaming the file, if things get worse you can always rename it back to next.trk and you're no worse off than you are now.
