  • option measure() not allowed r(198)

    Hi, I am a newbie to using Stata and Meta-analysis.
    When I entered "metabias logor selogor, begg" or "metabias logor selogor, egger", the message below appeared:
    Note: data input format theta se_theta assumed
    option measure() not allowed
    r(198);

    I have attached the file with the data here. XRCC1 rs1799782 homozygous.dta

    Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
    Thank you very much

      Dear Hilary Sito

      Could you please check what the result is of typing into Stata: which metabias ?

      It should say "version 3.0.1 jan2021". If not, please try updating the package (adoupate metabias, update) and see if that resolves the issue.

      For the record, using your attached dataset I do not encounter the error message (using Stata v17.0).

      Many thanks,

      David.

        Thank you very much David Fisher and Oyvind Snilsberg for your suggestions.
        I have overwritten my version of the Stata and it works fine now!

        Best regards,
        Hilary
