  • Command Not Found

    Hi all,

I typed the following command and got the following error message:

    jackknife, cluster(famid): firthlogit selfharmev affss
    firthlogit command not found

Does this mean that the STATA that I have downloaded on my computer does not have the firthlogit command in its "dictionary" (not sure the correct terminology)? Can I add it somehow?

    Thanks,
    Tess

firthlogit is indeed community-contributed. So downloading Stata from StataCorp or a distributor of Stata won't install it.

    Code:
    search firthlogit
finds a download location (provided your Stata has been correctly installed and can see the internet) and

    Code:
    ssc install firthlogit
    should install it (same proviso).

Detail: Your question is easy to follow, but as you mention it, dictionary isn't the correct term. It's a matter of having a copy of the firthlogit files along your adopath on which you can read

    Code:
    help adopath
