strata variable vs. covariate

Hello,

I am using svyset , svy: glm.
I am using state as my strata variable. When creating my multivariate models, is it correct to control for state as a covariate in the model at the same time?

If you intentionally want to use i.state as a covariate (compare each state with baseline state category, 1.state), then stratification is not needed.
