  • Interpretation coefficient when the dependent variable is in %

    Hi,

I would like to know how interpret some coefficients, in order to be clear.
I would say : "an increase of 1 percentage point of trj_opening leads to an incrase of 0,86 percentage point of roi_opening" (case or y is in % and beta in % too)

Secondly, i have not a clear idea of the interpretation of the coefficient -3.109 about italy. remember, the reference group is England.

The variable "roi_opening_dom" is in percent, and indicate the return of investment.
    trj_opening is also in percent.
    champion_dom is a binary variable
    and others variables id_ligue_num (ref = England) num_mois (ref = 8 = August) num_semaine (ref =1) jour_semaine (ref = Samedi) are categorial variables

    Thanks !

    Enneite:
your interpretation about percentage points variation is correct.
However, as per its negligible Rsq, your model is not that informative.
For instance, does it make sense to plug in as predictors months, weeks and days (that are probably highly correlated)?
I would start with amore parsimonious model.
    Kind regards,
    Carlo
