Iam trying to construct a Social Norm Index. However, I need to do it by using Principal Component Analysis for my thesis? My social norms index should be between 0 and 1. Yet, I have already 5 dummies for that and I do not understand how to run PCA. I will be really appreciated if anybody can help me.
I have 5 dummy variables as follows:
1) whether an individual agrees that family decisions are made by men (dummy_1)
2) whether an individual agrees that married women should not work (dummy_2)
3) whether an individual agrees that educated sons are better than educated girls (dummy_3)
4) whether an individual agrees that women should be virgin at wedding day (dummy_4)
5) whether an individual agrees that women's first responsibility is taking care of children (dummy_5)
