  • Stata Journal Editors' Prize 2020: Congratulations to Daniel Klein!

The Editors of the Stata Journal (H. Joseph Newton and myself) are delighted to announce the award of the Editors' Prize for 2020 to daniel klein -- who is no stranger to any long-term member of Statalist.

Congratulations to Daniel! Full details of the award, including more information on Daniel and an appreciation of his work, can be found at

    https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf...36867X20976310

An invitation to submit nominations for the 2021 Prize will be issued in the new year. Such invitations must be based on papers published in the Journal in 2018, 2019 or 2020.

Dear Daniel, congratulations and thank you so much for your outstanding work. Many of us have used at least one of your numerous ado contributions and received your help in the Stata forum. Hope to see you again in person as soon as we are back to the traditional offline conferences. I assume the 2021 user meeting in Frankfurt is a good opportunity.

    Best wishes from Bamberg

      Congrats' Daniel, well deserved!
Sometimes we disagreed (do -robust- and -cluster()- options do the same job under -regress- and -xtreg-?), but I've always found your posts inspiring, detailed and complete (including useful references), especially when covering topics I'm not familiar with (interrater agreement).
Thanks for your great contributions to this forum.

PS: de minimis: as Daniel, I've also opted for civil vs military service and served as paramedic (ambulance) for 1 year.

Indeed, Dan Klein is one of the most prolific and valuable contributors to the Stata community, not just in the Journal but also at SSC and here on this Forum. Well done and well deserved!

Congratulations daniel klein . I am sure that especially your fantastic "Extensions to the label commands" (see also here and here) will have a long lasting impact on the work of many of us -- thanks a lot for your work, the price is well deserved!
