Nice to greet you, I would appreciate all the help you can give me related to importing data in STATA through ODBC and that I detail below:
1. When making the ODBC connection and choosing options 1 and 3 as shown in the attached image one (1), when viewing in STATA using the data editor, it is observed that the information in the columns does not show the accents in the corresponding places replacing them with a special character and in the numerical values the correct information is shown.
2. When making the ODBC connection and choosing options 1, 3 and “Read all variables as alphanumeric” as shown in image two (2) attached, when viewing in STATA using the data editor, it is observed that accents are displayed correctly in the corresponding column information, but in numeric values, the period (.) is replaced by the comma (,).
It would be very helpful to know why STATA does that and how it can be solved, it is worth mentioning that I am using Windows 10 x64 and STATA version 15.0.
