  • Error (603)

Hello everyone! I am having this problem (look in the attached file) during an attempt to install fre and any other commands. The path showed in red not even the path where is stata folder exists. I've tried to launch as an admin, didn't help. My OS is Windows 10 and version - Stata 16. Please, could you help me? Thank you!

My wild guess is that you are a student or researcher trying to install files given use of a university network.

If so, you should know more than we do about where you have write access, and if you don't know then you need to ask for local help.

If not, it's hard to know why you can't install on your own machine.

That is likely to seem unhelpful, but the only certainty on this information is that SSC exists, fre is a package there, and the problem is your side.

I've already answered as best I can. You don't appear to be a student at my own institution, which is not a surprise, but that is the point. Only someone familiar with your set up can tell you where you have write access.
