Create table of variable names and labels

Hi,

This seems very simple, but I cannot find anything on a straightforward way of doing it. I have a set of variables and variable labels for each which describe the variable. I want to display a table containing the variable names in one column, and variable labels in another, preferably one that I can then use

putdocx table

on. What is the simplest way of doing this? Thanks

You can do it with asdoc in one line of code

ssc install asoc
sysuse auto
asdoc des, replace
