  • forest plots for sensitivity specificity

Hi, I am practicing meta-analysis of diagnostic accuracy studies using the midas software on stata using the example from http://fmwww.bc.edu/repec/bocode/m/midas_example.dta

I was able to generate forest plots for sensitivity and specificity using the following command
midas tp fp fn tn, id(author year) ms(0.75) ford fors bfor(dss)
However, the study IDs are not being displayed in the forest plots. How to bring in the study id into the forest plot?
Any help will be highly appreciated

Hi all, I have figured out how to add author IDs to these forest plots. Once the forest plots are created, please go to the 'graph editor', click on the area to the left of the forest plot for sensitivity, click on 'axis properties', click on 'label properties', tick 'show labels' and tick 'use value labels', change color from 'none' to 'black' using the drop down menu. Repeat the process for the area to the left of the forest plot for specificity. Then save the figure in PNG or any other format. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this! I was having the exact same problem. This should really be fixed so that the text colour is not default set at "none"
