  • Converting annual to quarterly GDP

Hello everyone. I am trying to convert annual data to quarterly data. In particular, I have annual GDP and I need to use that annual figures to estimate quarterly GDP. I tryed with denton, but it asks me for both annual and quarterly reference series, and I only have the annual. The quarterly estimates is what I am looking for! Can anyone help me? Thanks

You need extra information or a rule to say how each quarter's GDP would differ from the annual value -- other than dividing by 4, if that is the convention.

Otherwise the problem is on all fours with this problem.

The income of the household here can be considered as the sum of (1) my income and (2) that of my wife.

I will tell you that last year our household income was X. Given this information, calculate (1) my income (2) my wife's income.
