  • Sorting the rotated factor output after PCA

A video tutorial by Arthur Bangert suggested the use of the sortl command to sort the rotated output from a PCA run. The video uses (apparently) an older version of Stata. I tried to execute the sortl command after rotating my output, but received an error message stating the command sortl is unrecognized.

Is there currently any way to sort the rotated output?

-search sortl- reveals that this is a community-contributed command that you may install, after which the command becomes known to Stata. If you are not familiar with installing such things, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIXTyj0GSYc

      Thanks, Mike. That worked.

I tried to install it yesterday when I learned of it but it didn't work. Using the tips on the video, it worked. Thanks.
