  • rdbwselect "mass points detected in running variable" error

    Hello, I am having some problems with the rdbwselect command. I have been running rdbwselect dummy age, c(cutpoint) with no problem but now I am getting an error message that says "Mass points detected in the running variable. rdrobust_bw(): 3001 expected 17 arguments but received 19."

    I have been calculating age in days as current_date - start_date and had no issues before. I also installed the Winter 2020 of the rdbwselect, rdrobust, and rdplot ado files. I have tabulated my age variable, as well as looked at a histogram, and there are no obvious "mass points." Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you.

    Hi, I was wondering if you have any additional information on this. I was using rdwinselect and updated it because I couldn't restrict the sample (just trying to us if x==N1). But now I cannot run it. I keep getting the following message:

    Mass points detected in running variable

    <istmt>: 3499 rdlocrand_findwobs() not found.

    My previous version was from http://www.stata-journal.com/software/sj16-2 -with which I cannot use “if”, and the more recent one (that doesn't run) is from https://sites.google.com/site/rdpack...dlocrand/stata. I download a dataset and replication program from Cattaneo's Website and got the same error. It might be something about a new option wmasspoints, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions/information would be so helpful! Thanks!
