Which method should I do for this research question?

Hi, currently I have a research question. Specifically, I ask consumers what is your level of financial stress today? Then consumers choose a number within 1-10. They are also asked specific financial worries, for example, cannot pay bills on time, don't have emergency funds, etc.

My job is to find out which financial worries contribute the most to financial stress.

Which method should I do for this research question?

assuming the regressand is -financial_stress_level_today- I would go -ologit- and include -i.financial_worries- among your set of predictors.

Just a side note, after Carlo’s helpful advice. If yvar goes from 1 to 10, it may ‘behave’ as a continuous variable and - regress - can eventually be applied. That said, a nonparametric regression may be a nice strategy, since it won’t assume any particular distribution of yvar.
