It would be helpful to provide a link or explanation describing the Injury Severity Score, as you wrote. Many users of this forum will not be familiar with your area of research or this terminology.

Then find a reliable ICD-9 to ICD-10 crosswalk file and see if that works. You may need to do some validation studies to confirm the algorithm has acceptable classification parameters.
Hi Isabella Choa Did you ever manage to work out how to obtain an ISS when using ICD-10, rather than ICD-9 codes? I'm hoping for a solution too - but have only found the Stata code from the link Daniel Shin has posted above, and option to try to convert the ICD-10 back to ICD-9 (with the limitations that would entail). Thanks for any updates
