I am currently trying to analyse how the implementation of a policy impacts subjects across the country - I have panel data spanning 8 years and over 100 implementations across states.
The policy implementation was staggered so I made use of a staggered DID approach using the xtreg command. The results are very promising.
However, I was wondering if I can use region data and match the territories that were impacted by the policy to near by territories/postal codes. That way, I could argue that locations within a region/very proximal would be more similar and serve as a good control group.
I am totally new to Stata and I thought I should reach out to the community for some guidance.
