Alan Riley Now President of StataCorp

I have news:

Alan Riley is now President of StataCorp

I am now President Emeritus of StataCorp.

It was my idea and Alan Riley, Vince Wiggins, and I have been working for a while to make this change.

I am retiring from being President of StataCorp, but I am not retiring from StataCorp. The Emeritus on the end of my new job title -- President Emeritus -- means "Was the President and wasn't fired", which these days is quite an accomplishment.

My new position at StataCorp will allow me to work more on what I love, which is development of and writing about Stata.
