  • sslope: standardized or unstandardized coefficients?

    Hi,

I'm not that familiar with stata and testing interaction effects and have a question about sslope.

I use sslope to calculate simple slope coefficients for my interaction effects. Unfortunately, I don't know whether the coefficients sslope provides are standardized or unstandardized. Does anyone know that?

You'll increase your chances of a useful answer by following the FAQ on asking questions - provide Stata code in code delimiters, readable Stata output, and sample data using dataex.

I'm not sure what sslope buys you that is not already very easily done in reg and margins. It seems like sslope automatically centers things, which is not necessarily desirable. You can easily check whether it uses standardized coefficients by running the appropriate regression and margins.
