  • Can SAS do ordered logit regressions with panel data?

    Dear All,

I have to do an ordered logit regression with panel data on SAS. Stata has clear documentation on ologit versus xtologit, but I was not so lucky in identifying that for SAS.

I have done some research on converting the code but because of my unfamiliarity with SAS I was not able to figure out the equivalent command for xtologit in SAS. I am thinking it's some version of PROC LOGISTIC. I am also trying to avoid using the Stata_wrapper macro.

Any guidance on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    SAM

This is the Statalist, so people here know something about Stata, but not necessarily about Some Alternative Software. Anyhow, if you know how to estimate the model of your choice in Stata and don't know how to estimate that model in some other software, then the solution seems pretty straightforward...

This might be handy. It doesn't mention xtologit explicitly but maybe you can figure it out from what is there.

You may also ask this on the SAS-L mailing list or on Cross Validated.

Thank you all! I would much rather be using STATA over SAS but have to convert it for a colleague and we are both having trouble finding the command for xtologit. I will try the SAS-L mailing list.
