  • Stata file to learn from

Hello all, I am trying to learn Stata, and I was wandering if you have a Stata file (containing a sample data) you prepared that you are willing to share along with the do file, or if you are aware of such files that can be downloaded for sample data, I would like to learn more about how to do regression, mean, SD, T test etc by seeing already prepared files/projects and try to replicate it on my own data. I think that would make learning much easier.

Thanks A lot for any help or advice

The PDF documentation that comes with your Stata installation contains many worked examples of nearly all Stata commands. Moreover, the data sets used in those examples are all available to you on any internet-connected computer via the -webuse- command.

For introducing yourself to Stata, the best advice I know comes from William Lisowski in #5 at //www.statalist.org/forums/forum/general-stata-discussion/general/1490032-counting-observations-over-duplicate-dates. Follow his advice there and you will be well-prepared.
