Replace missing observations in VAR1 with observations from VAR2 f

Dear forum,

I am trying to replace the missing observation(s) in ExportMarkets with the value in MirrorExportMarkets. May I ask what the command is for this?

ExportMarkets MirrorExportMarkets
1991 . 45 67
1992 . . 58
1993 . 97 89

There is no deletion of threads, except for sordid reasons such as spamming.

Asking for deletion seems to imply: I've worked out an answer, so don't now need your help. Fine, except that documenting the answer would make the thread possibly useful to others who find it, while at present the thread is just a distraction.

replace ExportMarkets = MirrorExportMarkets if missing(ExportMarkets)

is a positive answer.
