  • Inequality Indicators

    Hello
I have the cost of every household and the per capita cost of every household
What codes should I enter in stata to calculate inequality indicators (the ratio of 10% of high income to 10% of low income, as well as 10% of high income to 40% of lower income)?
My calculation unit is the household
    Thank you

        Mari:
please call me Carlo as all on (and many more off) the list do. Thanks.
I think that your chances of getting helpful replies would increase if you posted an example/excerpt of your data via -dataex- and explain what you're after. Thanks.
        Kind regards,
        Carlo

You are talking about share ratios. I think the digini command can do the job. But you have to install DASP package manually into your STATA:
          http://www.ophi.org.uk/wp-content/up...stallation.pdf

However, the simplest way of doing this should be pctile or sumdist
