  • New versions of cprdonsutil and cprdhesutil on SSC

Thanks as always to Kit Baum, new versions of the cprdonsutil and cprdhesutil packages are now available for download on SSC. In Stata, use the ssc command to do this, or adoupdate if you already have old versions of these packages.

The cprdonsutil and cprdhesutil packages are described as below on my website. The new cprdonsutil adds a few typo fixes and error traps. The new cprdhesutil adds a few more modules for inputting HES linkage dataset types that I had not previously input, plus a table of primary keys by which these dataset types will be sorted by default.

    Best wishes

    Roger

    TITLE
cprdonsutil: Inputting CPRD ONS-linkage datasets into Stata

    DESCRIPTION/AUTHOR(S)
The cprdonsutil package is designed for use with the cprdutil
package, which creates Stata datasets from text data files produced
by the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD). cprdonsutil is a
suite of utility programs for inputting linkage text data files
produced by CPRD to contain data on the same patients from the United
Kingdom (UK) Office of National Statistics (ONS), and creating
equivalent Stata datasets in the memory. Currently, there is one
program in the suite, which imports into Stata a dataset type
produced by a CPRD ONS linkage retrieval, with 1 observation for each
of a set of patients on which ONS collects death data. cprdonsutil
uses the SSC packages keyby, chardef, and lablist, which need to be
    installed for cprdonsutil to work.

1 observation for each of a set of things of a kind on which HES

within hospitalisations. cprdhesutil uses the SSC packages keyby,
