  • Test differences in firms that adopted org change

    Hi / Bonjour,

I would like to test firms that adopted organization mgmt. change ( yes or no, 1/0) and sales, profits, productivity. What would be the best test.

    Dexter:
with such a scant handful of details about your query, my trivial advice is to go -logit- (or -logistic-).
    Kind regards,

My guess is something different, but the underlying problem is that identified by Carlo Lazzaro. You have here some kind of project and you're giving us one limited sentence and expecting us to know what you should be doing.

If your response variables are sales, profits, productivity and one driver is that some firms did and some firms didn't adopt, it is still up in the air whether you have

      * cross-sectional or longitudinal data (did some firms adopt within period of study)

      * what scale you should be working on (e.g. variability in sales, profits, etc. might make log scale advisable)

      * whatever else you may have as predictors.

Statalist gets flak in social media for being unfriendly, not inclusive, and so forth, but we need questions that are clear and detailed to be able to be helpful.
