  • outreg with logit

i would like to export results of several logit commands to one single table (one regression per column)...
outreg does that well for regress
it does work with logit as well, but...since logit doesn't have a very meaningful R^2, i would like to include area under ROC curve as one of the table's rows. no idea how...i have to run lroc separately to see this value...
    Thank you for your help!

There are many routines for writing output to print form. outreg is one, but there is estout, outreg2, and the new ones provided with Stata 15. The ones with Stata 15 seem to me to be quite flexible, but at the cost of being pretty complex to use. However, I can't tell you which would solve this specific problem. I am only familiar with outreg2.

outreg2 lets you add r() and e() scalars. It has an example of adding result from secondary estimate (lincom in the eg) or even adding a local macro. However, I'm not sure how this would work when you want to write a bunch of logits - the examples seem to be for a single estimate - otherwise, outreg2 has trouble aligning results from the lroc with the right logit.

So, I could see how you could write each logit into a separate file along with the lroc results, and then copy and paste the results into a wide table. Alternatively, you could write the lroc results into a matrix. Then you can list the matrix, and copy and paste it into the table.

asdoc (from SSC) is another option to export Stata results. This video highlights how to export regression results.

Check out my asdoc program, which sends outputs to MS Word.
For more flexibility, consider using asdocx which can send Stata outputs to MS Word, Excel, LaTeX, or HTML.
