  • edit legend/label using marginscontplot or mcp

    Hi,
I am using Royston's mcp command (marginscontplot) and would like to edit the legend/labels of xvar2 but when I use the syntax for this indicated by Royston here: https://www.stata-journal.com/sjpdf....iclenum=gr0056 or by Williams here: https://www3.nd.edu/~rwilliam/stats3/Margins03.pdf I get the error 'option legend() not allowed r(198)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Please review FAQ 12.2 and the need to present a data example using dataex, to increase the chances of getting a helpful reply. marginscontplot is from Stata Journal. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Using the show option in marginscontplot allows you to see the corresponding margins command. You can use marginsplot if you find some options lacking in marginscontplot.
    2. Both margins and marginscontplot allow you to save the inputs for the graphs, and you can use twoway to customize your graph if you are not satisfied with the programmed options.

For anything more concrete, follow the advice above.
