mlogit: Determining the reference value of an independent variable

Hi,

Is it possible to change the reference value of the independent variable when using mlogit? I am aware that b(#) can be used to change the depvar reference category, but I'm interested in the indepvar.

Both my depvar and indepvar have three categories.

I presume you are using factor variable notation; in that case, go to

help fvvarlist

and scroll down to the "base levels" section of the help file
