  • Analyzing a three way interaction

I am using the command 'xtreg totalpositivescore totalnaturescore##i.selfdiag' to see whether exposure to nature would help those diagnosed with mental health condition testing for a 3-way interaction between nature, mental well-being and mental health diagnosis so that I can see whether the benefits of nature are more pronounced in people with a mental health condition than those without a condition.

However I am confused on how to analyse this data.

Please read the Forum FAQ, with special attention to #12, for excellent advice on posting so as to maximize your chance of a timely and helpful response. In particular, you are asked specifically not to post screenshots. As in this case, they often come out unreadable on some members' computers. Even when they are readable, if it necessary to do some work with the information, it is impossible to export anything from an image. FAQ #12 will explain the helpful ways to show information (which, by the way, are actually also simpler and quicker than screenshots).

Your question is also confusing. You speak of a three-way interaction, but the code you show, -xtreg totalpositivescore totalnaturescore##i.selfdiag-, shows only a two-way interaction. On top of that it is unclear whether the variable selfdiag that appears in the code refers to mental well being or mental health diagnosis.
