I receive the 'factor variables and time-series operators not allowed' message when using the command 'metareg primaryattendanceef Comp_Cat wsse(primaryattendancese)', where 'primaryattendanceef' is the effect size for a conditional cash transfer study on primary school attendance, 'primaryattendancese' is the corresponding standard error, and 'Comp_Cat' is a categorical variable taking the values 1, 2, 3 and 4 which correspond to how strict the mechanisms/penalties for non-compliance with school attendance conditionalities are. I also want to include moderator variables such as if the transfer goes to the mother or father, if it's a pilot study or national program, age of the program, and various other transfer and program characteristics. But i just get the error message. Can anyone help put me on the right track?
