Survival analysis: disease free

Hi,
I do have one question. I am working on a disease free analysis using Kaplan Meier. I do have patients that have 0= No recurrence and 1=Recurrence. However, I also have a third group 2=Persistent disease (never cured)
How do I fit those into the analysis?

For an analysis of disease-free survival, those who are never cured (actually, I believe you mean never in complete remission) would be excluded from the analysis altogether.

To check whether a patient will have recurrence of a disease, or not, I assume the patients shall not have a persistent form of the disease.
