  • Does a sample size of 160 observations have enough degrees of freedom, if I have 18 dummy variables when I run OLS?

    Hi All,

Please if anyone can answer whether I am having enough degrees of freedom in my sample size? I am running OLS and I control for 18 indepdendant varibales.

I read that I should multiple the number of independant varibales by 5 and the result needs to be smaller than my sample size. So in my case 18*5=90 < 160 (number of observations). Is this correct? Should I proceed with my analysis.

    Many thanks,
    Mirjana
