Overview
Meeting The 16th German Stata Users Group Meeting will be held on Friday, 22nd June 2018 in Konstanz at the University of Konstanz. We would like to invite everybody from everywhere who is interested in using Stata to attend this meeting. The academic program of the meeting is being organized by Maarten Buis (University of Konstanz), Johannes Giesecke (Humboldt University Berlin), Thomas Hinz (University of Konstanz), and Ulrich Kohler (University of Potsdam). The conference language will be English due to the international nature of the meeting and the participation of non-German guest speakers. The logistics of the conference are being organized by Dittrich und Partner, distributor of Stata in several countries including Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary (http://www.dpc-software.de).
Workshops On the day before the conference, there will be two workshop: the morning workshop is “Graphics with Stata” given by Maarten Buis and the afternoon workshop is “Bayesian analysis using Stata” given by Yulia Marchenko. Conference Dinner There is (at additional cost) the option of an informal meal at the Hafenhalle (Hafenstraße10, Konstanz) on Friday evening. Details about this event will be provided soon.

This workshop is intended for participants who want to make the most out of graphs in Stata. Stata has very powerful graphics language, but with power comes an elaborate syntax with a lot of options. This makes it easy to get lost and overlook useful possibilities. In this workshop we will focus on building your graph step by step, and tips and tricks to create a wide range of informative graphs.
Prerequisites Basic knowledge of Stata.
