  • Meta-analysis (metan) - between between group heterogeneity test in subgroup analysis for random effects

    Hi,

    I would like to conduct between group heterogeneity test (Z-test) in subgroup analysis. Unlike fixed effect model, the results of subgroup analysis for random effects do not show the heterogeneity test. Does anyone know if we have another command to get the results of the heterogeneity test? I use STAT/IC 14.2.

    I use the following command:
    metan ES SE, random by(group)

    ES= effect size
    SE = standard error
    group = variable to be examined for subgroup analysis (e.g., age group, study design)

    Thank you,

    Aya Yoshikawa

    Dear Aya,

    I'm having the same problem - so just commenting here in the hope that you've either found an answer or that someone might be able to help.

    My basis syntax is as follows:

    Code:
    metan log_ir se, random eform by(type)
    I will keep searching and will post if I've found a solution.

    Best wishes,

    Hannah

      Hi,

      Have you tried the admetan command?
      It may help you.
