  • Statistic analysis of crossover study

I need help to the analysis of a study where rats were given two different treatments in a crossover design with two periods. Furthermore, rats were allocated to three different fasting groups, which were consistent through the trial.

Does anyone know how to analyse this study design?

a lot depends on information you do not supply (e.g., the type of outcome variable; whether one of your treatment arms is a control, etc.); note that standard texts on crossover trials have at least one chapter each on 3-arm trials; see, e.g.,

Senn, S (2002), Cross-over Trials in Clinical Research, second edition, Wiley

Jones, B and Kenward, MG (2003), Design and analysis of cross-over trials, second edition, Chapman & Hall/CRC
