how to convert dob to age (months) in Stata
Hi experts,
Need help with converting dob such as 2016-12-01 to age in Stata straight away? I wonder if it is possible?
I have been trying all sorts of commands that I could have searched online but nothing works well so far. I was trying to gen child_age =. and was hoping to copy the age data I have "0 years, 7 months,23 days" from my given Excel file. But, it will be easier if I can just convert dob "2016-12001" to age in months straight away in stata.
But, don't know why, I simply couldn't paste those data to stata under child-age column directly. What should I do now then ? Many thanks for your assistance.
