egen list

is there somewhere that i can find a list of all of the egen commands available? using help doesn't appear to give me everything.

Have you typed -help egen- into the command line? The help file for egen exhaustively lists all official Stata -egen- commands. There have been numerous others written by users (especially Nick Cox), and you will find those with -help egenmore- (if you have installed the egenmore package). If you want the -egenmore- package you can get it from SSC, and you can read its help file before you install it, too.

Clyde is right, but there are others yet, mostly scattered in small numbers here and there. egenmore is just the biggest clutch I know of beyond official Stata.
