  • Comparing outcomes of men and women with the same observables

Hello, I am having trouble thinking of a strategy for my analysis.

I have a large panel sample of men and women who are applying to universities. I have a lot of observables about the individuls (grades, age, race, opinions, etc). I also have a lot of detail on the universities they apply to (quality, ranking, % of women they take in and so on). How am I able to see if men and women who have the same observables (e.g. same grades, same, age, same background) apply to different standards of universities?

    Thanks in advance!

interacting might be an approach (assuming you go -xtreg, re-):
    Code:
     xtreg <depvar> <othercontrols> gender##(i.grade c.age i.background)
    Kind regards,

My first association is propensity score matching. There are various ways of doing that, but a good place to start in Stata would be help teffects intro
