  • Advanded Tables how to get started?

    Hi,

I need to recreate some tables in stata. I got som data in excel which I have imported in to Stata.

I have problems about getting started with these advanced tables. Can anybody help or have anybody tried to do these themself?
I have tried to start, but as you can see it get a lot of problems.

I'am about to recreate table 1,2 and 3.

Hope that some of you have a tip or actually can recreate the tabels.

    Thanks!

Welcome to the Stata Forum / Statalist.

Please read the FAQ, particularly on how to improve the odds of getting a helpful reply.

The message in #1, unfortunately, seems to (wrongly, I fear say) assume that:

    a) Members in general would appreciate to open Excel files
    b) Members in general would appreciate to sieve through different sorts of documents so as to "guess" your goals
    c) There is an overarching "tip" which would work wonders for "advanced tables" overall.

I kindly recommend to take a look at the FAQ on how to share data under CODE delimiters or by installing the SSC dataex as well.

    Thank you in advance.

With regards to images, please follow the advice on how to share .png files.
    Best regards,

    Marcos

Thank you for taking your time to reply on my post. I will read the FAQ, but as I already have post my questions, do you have any suggestions on how to solve it?

Nicolas, I doubt Marcos nor others will have suggestions until you provide us with the necessary information to think about your problem. You'll need to read the FAQs first to learn how you can do that. Once you read them you'll see that Statalist contributors will not generally open up files such as those you have attached because a) it is a burdensome task, and b) they could have viruses in them.

If you're able to provide us with information to think about your problem (i.e. code pasted directly into your post, in CODE delimiters, a data snippet, obtained via dataex [ssc install dataex], and any pictures uploaded as a .png) then in my experience it will not be long before you receive a helpful reply.

        Good luck!
