  • from stata 14 to stata 13

    Hello, everyone!

    I'm really sorry for asking, but maybe anyone can open the file and save as old for stata 13?

    I'll be very grateful!

    You'll increase your chances of a helpful answer if your follow the FAQ asking questions - provide Stata code in code delimiters, Stata output, and sample data using dataex. With sample data, we might be able to replicate your problem and be more helpful.

    Folks are very reluctant to open files. Things you could do: (i) ask whomever wrote the file to resave it in the compatible version, (ii) get StatTransfer, (iii) get whomever wrote the file to save it in another fo

      Adding some specificity to Phil Bromiley's excellent suggestions, if you can give this data set to the person who originally created it, or somebody else who has Stata 14, it can be saved in Stata 13 format by using the -saveold- command with the -version(13)- option.

      Bear in mind that there are features of Stata 14 data sets that cannot be captured in version 13 data set format, particularly Unicode characters, so that some information may be lost.
