I am trying to calculate the willingness to pay for a certain product with a contingent valuation survey using the double bounded dichotomous choice approach.
example:
Are you willing to pay 50$? yes/no
if yes: are you willing to pay 60$? yes/no
if no: are you willing to pay 40$? yes/no
I used the doubleb command suggested by Lopez-Feldman ( http://ideas.repec.org/p/pra/mprapa/41018.html).
Unfortunately Stata drops all observations which indicated that they have a WTP= 0 !
Can someone help me to include those observations in order to get the mean WTP of the entire sample instead only of those who have a positive willingness?
