Dear everyone,
I have a survey data. I want to estimate the effect of the survey participation. My question is that in contrast to the classic DID settings of 1 time intervention for the treatment groups, we have a survey and every month different people are signing up (and I also have randomly selected non-participants group for the same period) for an entire year.
Each month new households signup to the program. Program lasted a year. And I would like to evaluate the effect of the program participation. I have monthly 3 years of the data set:
1) year before the Survey,
2) Survey year (for everyone)
3) Post survey year. How can I estimate the ATE for all, instead of particular months?
* Should I calculate ATE for every months separately then take the average? If I do that some months has very few observations --- I am not sure about this.
* Or should I put all the samples (surveyed group), regardless of months, to the same group (Treatment) and calculate ATE - I am not sure about this as well, this would overgeneralize.
I am planning to employ DID Matching with non-participants?
ID= individuals for 36months of data
y=consumption
x=Individual characteristics (age, income, education, zipcode, ethnic group and etc), it also include month and year people signup the surveys.
I assigned survey participants as treatment group. Non-participants are Comparison group.
How can calculate the ATE for the Survey? and How can estimate month after and year after the survey effect?
Please advise. I really need a support!!! I really appreciate for any help.
Kind regards,
